We are currently looking for a new team member - Junior Software Engineer - to become part of the Aerospace division, Sensing, Guidance & Navigation group in Brno. Our team is focused on commercial Alternative Navigation means, Inertial Navigation products and direct support of EMEA customers. If you are an engineer with real passion for sensor technology, knowledge of embedded systems and programming, let us know!

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project planning phase, provide estimates and report status
• Perform embedded / application software (e.g. C, C++, C#, Matlab):

1. Requirements and architecture modification / creation
2. Code modification / creation (includes debugging and troubleshooting)
3. Test cases, procedures, and scripts modification / creation
4. Tests execution (both informal and formal runs)
5. Documentation creation
6. Certification support
7. Development / test environment setup

• Ensure assigned technical tasks are completed on-time and within given requirements
• Actively identify new technological opportunities that will help achieve incremental or step change improvements

Co hledáme

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience with embedded / application software development (e.g. C, C++, C#, Matlab) and design / test automation
• Ability to communicate in English language – B2 to C1

• Knowledge of software development processes and best practices is a plus
• Experience with project planning and effort estimation is a plus
• Knowledge of commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B is a plus
• Knowledge of software design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect) is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python) is a plus
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools (e.g. ClearCase, SVN, Git) is a plus
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) is a plus
• Knowledge of change management tools (e.g. ClearQuest) is a plus
• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g. TestLink) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
• Self – starter, motivated to take initiative and able to work – independently
• Extremely reliable, trustworthy, with highest ethical standards
• Excellent communications skills
• Team player
