Popis pozice

The Associate Piping Designer is responsible for various drafting and CAD activities, and will report to and be supervised by an assigned Piping Designer or Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handles various drafting activities (manual or CAD) to support the project team or the department.
• Creates or makes corrections to a 2D or 3D plotplan model, including sections and views, based on mark-ups or instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Creates input or makes corrections to a 3D CAD plant model, based on mark-ups or instructions provided by the supervisor, including input of equipment and simple piping systems.
• Updates piping studies or plan drawings (manually/ CAD), based on mark-ups or instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Prepares (manual) isometric sketches from piping studies or during site verifications (field sketches).
• Produces piping plan layouts from 3D CAD, including all annotation.
• When required, must take on assignment which falls under the aforementioned tasks.
• Accepts tasks of a lower level position when applicable and, in consultation with his/her superior, certain tasks of a higher level.
• Responsible for application of Environmental Policy and Procedures within his area of responsibility.

• High School or University. Preferably technical school training.
• Demonstrates basic working knowledge of design systems.
• Typically has the 0 - 5 years of experience
• Ability to report in English (verbal, writing)
